To niche or not to niche as a solo content creator
To niche or not to niche as a content creator?
Here’s the example of Justin Welsh.
He talks about building a one-person business.
In the last 365 days ending on October 12th, 2022, he:
- added 208,656 new followers
- generated 137.59M impressions
- received 13.95M visits to my profile
And most importantly, he did that on Twitter, one of the busiest social media platforms in 2022.
What did he do? He chose to be known for ONE specific thing.
It starts with building out a persona first and then hammering on it every day. In his case, it was building a diversified portfolio of one-person businesses. He calls himself the “Diversified Solopreneur”.
Not only did he name it but also claim it.
One thing to note here is, very few entrepreneurs are talking about this particular idea. So, you can say, we are talking about a blue ocean here.
If you are a content creator and looking to build a one-person company, focus on ONE IDEA and try to differentiate yourself right from the start.
That’s how one-person empires are built.
